Photos will be taken before and after each service and during Sunday School. Weekday appointments can be made by calling the church office. Please take a moment to get your photos taken; this really helps our pastors, staff, and new familes.

Fall Festival

Sunday October 22 from 4:30-6:30pm at the SUMC Pavilion

Come enjoy an evening of pumpkin carving, hay rides, chili cook-off (4:30pm), cookie eating contest (5:00pm), family challenge (5:30pm). Everyone is welcome!

Chili Cook-Off Rules:

-Make a batch of your specialty chili

-Give it a name that gets attention

-List ingredients (for allergy purposes)

-Make 3-5 quarts. We will supply the cups, spoons, and napkins for serving.

*Feel free to have your own theme or wear a costume

*Prizes for the Winners*

Attendants will vote by donating their change at their favorite chili station

Active for Life

9:30 and 10:30am on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays in Cowan Hall

Active for Life is a low-impact exercise program for persons 55 and over. The program is open to any older adult in the community and there is no cost to attend. It is not required of participants to attend every session. Participants also receive regular blood pressure screening, celebrate special holidays and just have fun. Active for Life developed by WVU Extension Service, is celebrating its 21st year at SUMC. For more information, contact Kate Clark at 304-554-0166.
